Captain Archer: We're the fastest ship, and the most experienced crew. We have to find the Augments and bring them back. It's the only way to avert a war.

Scott Bakula: My character is more of who I would project myself to be if I were a captain. You know, how would I behave, um, to a certain extent, with my crew; how would I behave, what kind of choices would I make.
Bakula: I felt like this character had places to go, and he had room, and he had flaws, and he had issues, and he had things that -- if you're lucky enough to run a series for a while -- that you get to explore different facets of him.
Archer: Here we are again. Wouldn't have it any other way. Travis.
Scott Bakula: I really like to think of it as Archer hasn't really changed, as much as the world around him has changed, and he's... he's adapting to it.
